The delegation of the Party of Democratic Action Sandžak, which consisted of Party President Sulejman Ugljanin, President of the Executive Board Esad Salihović, President of the Main Board Edib Kajević, General Secretary Merfid Kamesnjičanin and Party spokesman and president of the SDA Sandžak Youth Association Kerim Avdić, paid an official visit to the Zenica-Doboj Canton today.
During the visit, a meeting was held with the Prime Minister of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Nezir Pivić, and the Chairman of the Cantonal Assembly, Ćazim Huskić, which was attended by almost all members of the ZDK Government.
– Our desire is to make a step forward in everything that brings benefits to the citizens of the canton, but also to work on strengthening the statehood of Bosnia and Herzegovina and connecting our people who live outside the borders of the homeland. That is why it is very important that you are here with us today and that we have the opportunity to talk – said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
He added that, regardless of the fact that the Government is composed of representatives of different political parties, the common goal remains the same – work in the interest of citizens.
– In the Assembly, most decisions are made by a two-thirds majority, and often unanimously. This is the result of teamwork and joint action in the same direction – Pivić pointed out.
The president of SDA Sandžak, Sulejman Ugljanin, said that the fate of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the position of Bosniaks in Sandžak are inextricably linked.
– Bosniaks in Sandžak carefully follow everything that happens in Bosnia and Herzegovina. All your successes are the fulfillment of our wishes – said Ugljanin.
Ugljanin congratulated the leadership of the Zenica-Doboj canton on the achieved results and pointed out that SDA Sandžak is an opposition party in the Republic of Serbia, officially registered as a minority political party that has the authority to represent the interests of citizens of Sandžak and Bosniaks in the Republic of Serbia.
Chairman of the ZDK Assembly Ćazim Huskić emphasized the importance of unity and joint action.
– Here in our canton, we realized that we have to be unique in order to live better. This is an example of how everyone who is for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina should work – gathered around one goal. Without unity, we can hardly help anyone – said Huskić.
During the meeting, the improvement of cooperation was also discussed, with a special emphasis on the field of education, the exchange of students and professors, and the strengthening of institutional ties.
