The head of the Kyiv military administration, Timur Tkachenko, said that part of a residential building collapsed in the eastern city district of Darnytskyi, and that people could be buried under the rubble.
– People are under the rubble, Tkachenko wrote on Telegram, adding that emergency services are on their way to the scene.
Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klitschko reported damage in several parts of the city, including the northern suburbs, where drone debris hit two buildings and caused a fire in a 12-story apartment block.
Footage of burning parts of residential buildings appeared on social networks, but so far there is no official information about the dead or injured.
The Ukrainian Air Force said that Russian missiles were also aimed at other regions during the night, including the Kharkiv, Sumy and Chernihiv regions in the north of the country and the Poltava region in central Ukraine.
Russian drones and guided bombs targeted the eastern and southern parts of the country.
A day earlier, during the day, Russia attacked Ukrainian critical infrastructure in the western regions of the country with drones, and at least six people were killed in the attack, Ukrainian officials said.
