Russia and Belarus scheduled a joint military exercise

Russia and Belarus will hold a joint military exercise in September, officials said on Thursday, within the effort of two neighbors and allies to expand their military connections in the midst of the struggle in Ukraine.

– Exercise ‘West 2025’ will include more than 13,000 soldiers – stated Valero Ravenko, an official of the Belarusian Ministry of Defense.

He added that the observers of the organization for European security and cooperation, leading transatlantic groups for safety and human rights, be invited to monitor exercises.

Russian troops entered Ukraine from Belarus 24. February 2022, after a joint exercise with the Belarus Army. Ukraine and Belarus share a 1.084 kilometer border.
