Aston Villa footballer Donyell Malen has gone on loan to Roma, the Italian club announced today.
According to information from Sky Sports, Roma paid Aston Villa 1.7 million pounds for the loan of Malen, with an option to buy the 26-year-old Dutch striker’s contract for 21.6 million pounds.
The buyout option becomes mandatory if certain conditions are met.
Malen arrived at Aston Villa in January last year from Borussia Dortmund, and so far he has played 46 games for the English club and scored 10 goals.
Donyell Malen previously played for the youth teams of Ajax and Arsenal, as well as for PSV Eindhoven.
He played 49 games for the Netherlands and scored 13 goals.
