Despite the complex security situation in the Middle East, the organization of this year’s Hajj for believers from Bosnia and Herzegovina is taking place without any changes, it was confirmed by the Office for Hajj and Umrah of the Rijaset of the Islamic Community in BiH.
As they point out, there are no indications that would indicate a possible cancellation or postponement of the Hajj, and that all preparations and planned activities are carried out within the stipulated deadlines. They are in constant communication with the competent institutions of Saudi Arabia, from whom they have not received information about any changes.
Representatives of the Office recently visited Mecca and Medina, where, as they say, they found the usual atmosphere – a large number of believers in harems and the smooth functioning of internal traffic.
Special attention, they emphasize, is focused on the safety of the pilgrims, with continuous monitoring of all relevant circumstances.
This year, Bosnia and Herzegovina was allocated a quota of 2,922 pilgrims, including accompanying staff – guides, medical and media teams.
The first flight of pilgrims from Sarajevo is planned for May 16, while the last departure is scheduled for May 21. The organization of the trip involves two flights a day, with an additional third flight one day, so that all passengers can reach Mecca within six days.
Hajj, as one of the fundamental Islamic regulations, represents a special spiritual experience for believers and an opportunity to fulfill one of the most important religious obligations.
The Office for Hajj and Umrah says that it will continue to act in accordance with the instructions of the competent institutions of Saudi Arabia, with the aim of ensuring that the pilgrims from Bosnia and Herzegovina have a safe and organized stay during this important religious journey.
