Reisul-ulema of the Islamic community in Bosnia and Herzegovina Husein-ef. Today, Kavazović sent a traditional message on the occasion of the coming Eid al-Fitr, addressed to all Muslims in Bosnia and Herzegovina, homeland countries and diaspora.
As reported by the MINA agency, in his address, Reis Kavazović emphasized the importance of spiritual purification brought by the month of fasting, stressing that true strength lies in self-control and benevolence towards others.
“Ramadan taught us that true strength is not in strength, but in self-control; and that the greatness of a man is not measured by what he takes, but by what he gives; and that the one closest to Allah’s mercy is the one who is most useful to His creatures. I ask the Almighty Allah to accept our prayers and all the good we have done in this chosen month,” said Kavazović.
Referring to the current global situation, the reisul-ulema warned that Eid comes at a difficult time for humanity, when the modern world, despite its progress, is deeply wounded by wars, violence and injustice.
“Homes are collapsing before our eyes, lives are being cut short and human dignity is being trampled on. That’s why our Eid joy must not remain closed in the circle of our own happiness. It must also be open to the pain of those who suffer, to prayer to those who are suffering, and to help those who need help,” said Reisul-Ulema.
In his message, Kavazović particularly emphasized the importance of unity and concern for the country, calling on citizens to support each other.
“As always, today we need to preserve peace and harmony between us, mutual respect and our homeland Bosnia and Herzegovina. Let us be aware of the weight of the times we live in and be each other’s support and support for the good. In a time when many spread fear and mistrust, we are called to spread safety, trust and good”, he added.
In the end, Reis Kavazović congratulated all Muslims in the homeland, neighborhood and diaspora on the coming days of Eid.
