In accordance with the Law on MIO/PIO, pensions for the month of April will be paid through the Unified Account of the Treasury of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Tuesday, May 5, announced the Federal Institute for Pension and Disability Insurance.
For users who became eligible by January 1, 2026, the lowest pension is 666.76 KM, guaranteed 795.74 KM, while the highest pension is 3,333.79 KM.
The lowest pensions in six categories
The basis for calculating the lowest pension for users who become eligible after January 1, 2026 is 724.36 KM (651.05 + 11.26 % = 724.36).
Based on that:
The lowest pension from Article 81, paragraph 2, point a), for less than 20 years of service, amounts to 60% of the base, or 434.62 KM.
The lowest pension from point b), for 20 and more, but less than 25 years of service, amounts to 65% of the base, or 470.83 KM.
The lowest pension from point c), for 25 and more, but less than 30 years of service, amounts to 70% of the base, or 507.05 KM.
The lowest pension from point d), for 30 and more and less than 35 years of service, amounts to 75% of the base, or 543.27 KM.
The lowest pension from point e), for 35 and over, but less than 40 years of service, amounts to 85% of the base, or 615.71 KM.
The lowest pension from point f), for 40 or more years of service, amounts to 95% of the base, or 688.14 KM.
What are the lowest family and disability pensions?
Disability and family pension (behind an active insured person), in the sense of Article 81, paragraph 4 of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance as of January 1, 2026, amounts to:
The lowest disability pension is 651.92 KM.
The lowest family pension is 651.92 KM.
The amount of the guaranteed pension for beneficiaries who exercise the right after January 1, 2026, with 40 or more years of insurance experience, is set at 842.44 KM.
The lowest pension for beneficiaries who exercise the right according to special regulations (the Act on the Premature Favorable Retirement of Veterans, the Act on the Special Rights of Recipients of War Awards and Their Families and the Act on the Rights of Veterans and Their Family Members), according to the changes that apply from January 1, 2026, is KM 666.76.
The average independent pension for April is 851.03 KM.
A total of 466,768 beneficiaries will receive their pension for April, and about 355.4 million KM is needed for payment.
