The Prime Minister of Zenica-Doboj Canton Nezir Pivić with Jasmina Čajić and Adnan Sabania and the Director of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration visited Javid Alicic, which was mostly affected by floods in this canton. At the confluence of the River Usora in Rijeka Bosnia, the Mirnes Tukić Municipal Chief greeted them and met the situation. Thanked himself for everything that ZDK takes when it comes to emergency situations such as floods that hit this area.
– There is stagnation and calming of the situation on the ground. We believe that we will solve this problem in Doboj South. We have pumps trying to get out of water. If there is no major precipitation, I believe that the situation could calm down during the night – said Prime Minister Pivić.
The Prime Minister said that teams are on the field and machinery in standby and if necessary to react quickly.
Chief of the Municipality of Doboj South Mirnes Tukić said that everything in their power to prevent the spread of the wave “which entered the industrial and residential area of the municipality.
According to the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration, due to the morning rainfall, there was a slight increase in the level of the Rijeka Bosnia along its flow from the High to Doboj Jug. The Rijeka Usora is in decline compared to the level recorded this morning at 9 o’clock. The last two hours of Rijeka Usora dropped by 25 cm. The situation in the municipality of Doboj South is still uncertain, and if the trend of decreasing the level of USOR is continued then there will probably be likely to the larger flooding of residential buildings. Civil protection units are on the ground and take all actions to protect the population. In the municipality of Usor, traffic on the route Makljenevac – Doboj was interrupted due to the expulsion of the Usor on the highway.
In other municipalities and cities are sporadically reported by strikes that make traffic difficult. Regional Put Maglaj – Zavidovići is still closed
