Poland will ban the use of mobile phones by minors under the age of 16 in schools, the education minister announced on Wednesday.
“We are currently finalizing work on a major legal change, which is of key importance for schools, and which will result in a ban on the use of mobile phones in primary schools from September 1, 2026,” Barbara Nowacka told reporters, reports TVP World, Anatolia.
She added that the use of phones in schools cannot be the norm, because we see how dependent children are on the Internet.
The move follows similar measures in countries around the world, including restrictions on the use of mobile phones in schools and the use of social networks by minors.
