Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said he came to win after voting in the parliamentary elections at a polling station in Budapest.
Orban pointed out that Europe is moving towards a major crisis.
– We need a strong national unity in order to resist the crises approaching us – said Orban.
Today, Hungarians are electing 199 members of the country’s unicameral parliament.
The ruling Fidesz party, led by Orbán, and the opposition Tisa party, led by MEP Peter Magyar, are considered the most prominent political forces in the election.
The list of parties participating in the elections also includes another 11 political entities and 31 independent candidates.
The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights /ODIHR/ has deployed an observation mission of 15 experts that will be based in Budapest.
