Although not specified which “new market conditions” justifies this decision, earlier Traton said in July that the number of sold vehicles fell in four percent in the first half of the year. They also pointed out that the situation is further complicated due to American customs measures and curbside of the Swedish crown.
The decrease in the number of jobs will hit 400 employees in the Human Resources Department and 300 in commercial units, the company announced.
Scania currently employs 59,000 people around the world, and the Management Board points out that adjustments will provide better harmonization with market challenges and future sector needs.
