Traditional bicycle pilgrimage in honor of St. Ante will be held on Sunday, June 7, on the route from Mostar via Čitluk and Medjugorje to the shrine of St. Ante na Humac.
In the organization Association of pedagogues of physical and health culture Ljubuški and cycling clubs Mostar, Brotnjo and Ljubuškion Sunday, June 7a traditional bicycle pilgrimage will be held in honor st. Ante.
As the organizers announced, the pilgrimage will gather recreational cyclists from Herzegovina and Croatiaand the goal of the event is to promote a healthy lifestyle, recreation and community.
Departure from Mostar at 8 am
The departure of the participants is scheduled for 8:00 am in front of the Croatian House of Duke Stjepan Kosača in Mostar, while other cyclists will join in 9:30 am in Chitluk.
The common route continues across Medjugorjewith a short stop at Church of St. Jacoband then below Križevciover Miletine and Crnopoda to Ljubuški, that is, the sanctuary st. Ante na Humac.
Upon arrival at the destination, participation in Holy Mass and a cyclist’s blessing.
Socializing on Chevelyusha
After the religious part of the program, the socializing of the participants will continue in the natural environment of the restaurant Mandica gap on Shoesalong the river Necessary.
The organizers point out that the event is held under the slogan A healthy mind in a healthy body and that it does not have a competitive character. The pilgrimage is aimed at popularization recreational cycling among all generations, while promoting the spiritual values and natural beauty of Herzegovina.
They invited all interested citizens to join the pilgrimage, which has been gathering lovers of cycling and an active lifestyle for years.
