The Minister of Justice of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Davor Bunoza, brought a new Rulebook on the Fees for the work of detainees and prisoners in the Institute for the Execution of Criminal Sanctions, located in Vojkovići. This Ordinance, published in the last number of the Official Gazette of BiH, replaces the one from 2005. years.
According to the new rulebook, prisoners will receive a work fee at the beginning of each month for the past month. The basis for calculating the monthly fee cannot be less than 20 percent of the basis for calculating the salary of civil servants in BiH. For 2025. year, the basis is 631,50 KM, which means that prisoners cannot receive less than 126 km.
The fee is calculated not only on the basis of the base and the coefficient, but also according to the type of work, quantity and quality of work, working hours and productivity contribution. There are three categories of jobs: Heavy jobs (coefficient 4), standard jobs (coefficient 3.50) and easier jobs (coefficient 3).
The basis can be increased according to the amount and quality of work, work discipline and attitude towards the means of work, with additional percentages for exceptional achievements and above the expected goals. The maximum working hours is 40 hours per week, with a half hour break.
The Rulebook allows the prison manager to reward prisoners for exceptional work results, and prisoners are entitled to a full monthly fee in case of sick leave or annual leave. Overtime is paid increased, by 35 percent, while working on the days of state holidays pay 50 percent more, transmits Black Chronicle.
