French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecorni announced 6. June that French automotive and defense companies will establish a partnership for the production of drones in Ukrainian territory.
“The big French car company, whose name has not yet been discovered, will join a French Defense Firm to equip production lines in Ukraine to produce drones.” Lecorno told Le Monde.
He did not specify what types of drones will be produced, but added that the drones except Ukraine would also be delivered to French armed forces for constant tactical and operational training.
Lecorne emphasized that there is no need to send the Frenchman to production because Ukrainians “are better in the design of drones and the development of accompanying strategies.”
Since the beginning of the war Ukraine develops advanced unmanned systems and technological innovations, and both sides are increasingly using reconnaissance and combat missions.
According to Ukrainian Advisor Alexander Kamyshin, the country has a capacity to produce more than 5 million FPV drones per year.
