Netanyahu: There is no immunity for enemies of Israel

The Israeli army announced yesterday that it had killed Ahmed Ali Balout, the commander of the Radwan unit of the pro-Iranian militant group Hezbollah, in an attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

It was the first Israeli attack on the Lebanese capital since a ceasefire declared last month. Netanyahu said the Hezbollah commander “thought he could continue to direct attacks on our forces and our communities from his secret terrorist headquarters in Beirut.”

“Today I am telling our enemies in the clearest possible way: No terrorist has immunity,” he added. Hezbollah, which controls the southern suburbs of Beirut, has not yet announced the attack or the status of the commander.
