According to the New York Times, referring to several sources from the top of Israel and people familiar with the situation, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an order to the army to intensify attacks on Iran’s arms industry as much as possible in the next two days.
According to the information, the Israeli leadership does not believe that the US proposal, which includes a number of conditions for the end of the conflict, could remove the threats coming from Iran in the long term, especially when it comes to the nuclear program and ballistic missiles.
It should be recalled that the United States of America recently presented a 15-point framework that would allow for a one-month temporary cessation of hostilities, in order to open up space for negotiations on a permanent solution.
However, the Israeli side does not look favorably on such an option, as it believes that negotiations should run parallel to the continuation of military operations.
As reported by the Israeli media, the possibility of a quick and insufficiently precise agreement causes concern among the political and security structures in that country.
It is warned that such an outcome could lead to a situation in which Iran would emerge from the conflict in a more favorable position, without clearly defined obligations.
