Bosnia-Herzegovina skier Elvedina Muzaferia returned to the track after a bad fall last week and today competed in the downhill race for the Women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup in Val di Fassa.
The result of the race was not in the foreground and Muzaferia won 53rd place with 4.37 seconds behind the winner Laura Pirovano from Italy.
German Emma Aicher was second, and American Breezy Johnson was third.
Aicher is only 14 points closer to the leader Lindsay Vonn in the overall downhill standings and will have the opportunity to win the small crystal globe, and in serious competition is today’s winner Pirovano who is in third place and has 64 points less than the American who ended the season after a hard fall at the OI.
