Judge Áine Clancy referred him to the Central Criminal Court, where he will be tried.
As a reminder, Muris C. is accused of killing Adnan Asić (60) in Old Navan Road on October 22, 2022. The deceased, who had lived in Ireland for more than 30 years, was seriously injured in the early hours of the morning. Asic allegedly attended an event in the “Blanchardstown Shopping Centre” area and went home shortly after 2:15 am.
He was found with serious injuries and was soon pronounced dead at Connolly Memorial Hospital. Irish police opened a murder investigation, on 7 January 2025 a man was questioned but released without charge while a case was prepared for the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
By the way, his only living relative also spoke about the victim of a brutal murder last year. In a statement to the Irish media, he said that Adnan was beaten to death, and that he is still haunted by the way he was killed. He also asked for justice for his murdered relative. His cousin says that Adnan left Bosnia and Herzegovina in the 90s and settled in Ireland, where he lived peacefully for 30 years. His cousin Ahmet D., who helped the police during the investigation, says that he is still haunted by everything that happened to Adnan.
“I am desperate, he did not deserve to die in such a way,” says Amhet D. He adds that he left Bosnia and Herzegovina before him, and that he first went to Croatia, and then they were sent to Ireland as refugees:
“Adnan came after me, we both lived in Dublin, he was a really good man. He had no family, no wife, no children. He only had me. He was the kind who wouldn’t step on an ant. We were really close, we took care of each other,” his cousin recalls. Ahmet D. said that they attended the same event that night, but did not go home together.
