The meeting of the Organizing Committee of the League of Herzegovina and the Mayor of the Municipality of Čitluk, Marin Radišić, was held on Thursday in the meeting hall of the Municipality of Čitluk.
At the meeting, preparatory activities for 21st edition of this sports competition, which this year will be hosted by the municipality Chitluk.
The mayor of the municipality attended the meeting Marin Radisic you Ivan Zeljkopresident of the Liga Herzegovina Association, Nikica Šiljeg, vice president of the Association, Mario Cilic, representative of the MNL MZ of Čitluk municipality and member of the Organizing Committee of the League of Herzegovina i Mile Galic, secretary of the Brotnja Sports Association.
The meeting discussed organizational details, infrastructure, match dates, and the logistics needed to make this year’s edition of the league run at a high level. Also, the participants of the meeting pointed out that the host is the League of Herzegovina great honor for Chitluk, but also an opportunity for additional promotion of sports and the unity of all municipalities participating in this traditional competition.
Traditionally, the date of holding the League of Herzegovina is after the Feast of the Assumption and the end of competitions in the leagues of Herzegovinian cities and municipalities. The final matches of the League of Herzegovina will be played on SC Jakerovac where the grandstand for visitors was upgraded in the past period, and the continuation of investments in improving infrastructure conditions is planned, announced the Municipality of Čitluk.
The title of winner in last year’s league was won by the representative of Široki Brijeg, MZ Lijeva Obala, which beat MZ Donji Hamzići in the final and will representative of Široki Brijeg to defend the championship title.
