Representatives of the Ministry of Health of Zenica-Doboj Canton and Tešanj, signed the Prime Minister ZDK today Nezira Council Agreement on joint financing of three infrastructure projects in the field of primary health care. These are investments with a total value of more than 1.4 million KM.
Minister dr. Aida Salčinović, Chief of the Municipality of Breza Vedad Jusić and director of the Health Center Breza dr. Amina Tabaković signed an agreement on the joint project of the construction of an emergency medical assistance facility in Breza, whose value is 1,050,000 KM. The Ministry of Health will participate with 400,000 KM, Breza municipality with 200,000 KM, and the Health Center with 450,000 km. This will receive a modern and functional space for the work of emergency medical assistance for the first time.
Minister Salčinović signed with the head of the municipality of Tešanj Suad Huskić and the Director of the Health Center “Izudin Mulabecirović Izo”, dr. Mersihom Fejzić, Joint Investment Agreement in the Reconstruction of Two Family Ambulances, whose value is 182,000 KM, and the municipality of Šije, whose value is 167,500 KM (s), with a population of 50,000 km, and home Health with 24,500 km). Reconstruction of family medicine ambulance In the settlement of Tešanj, the adaptation of the facade, the production of the elevator, while the reconstruction of the clinic in Šije implies the complete rehabilitation of the facility, which will significantly improve patients and staff.
– We are glad to be able to assist local communities in the field of primary health care. This year, we focused mainly on the purchase of equipment. When it comes to the Cantonal Hospital, which serves the inhabitants of the entire canton, we realized significant procurements. We are focused on building a new one, I can freely say, university hospitals. Because we fulfilled all the conditions for the acquisition of the status of the University Hospital Center, but we are currently in a stall due to unresolved property-legal relations with the city of Zenica. We have an approved EBRD loan of 10m euros, which we have not yet implemented, which is why we have already paid 600,000 KM of Penala, and we also have a grant funding that we cannot take advantage of that caused Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
Minister Salčinovic emphasized that it is a beautiful feeling of help improving health services for the residents of any part of the ZDK. She pointed out that at the beginning of the mandate, the government placed a special focus on health and that the Ministry remains a consistent strategic goal: the developmental development of health infrastructure, modernization of facilities and the creation of equal treatment conditions for all citizens of cantons.
Chiefs of the Municipality of Breza and Tešanj thanked Minister Salčinović and the Government headed by Prime Minister Pivić at the support of local communities and health investments, thus improving the quality of health services for all citizens.
– Thanks for your support for these projects. It is important for us. Our financial participation is not questionable, as well as the participation of the Health Center. I believe that people will quickly feel the benefits of these projects. Thus, we complete the investment cycle in the field of family medicine in the field – said the mayor of Tešanj Suad Huskić.
Chief of the Municipality of Breza, Vedad Jusić, said that there will be opportunities for a joint tour and monitoring of the realization in the field. He explained that it was the construction of a completely new ambulance in the Health Center, which will surely be a great benefit to citizens and patients, as well as employees of the Health Center to facilitate work.
Prime Minister Nezir Pivić said the goal is to preserve the health system that should be at the service of all citizens, regardless of their financial possibility to pay health services.
