In the organization of the Sports Association of the City of Mostar, the selection of the most successful athletes, sports teams and sports workers for the year 2025 was held in Mostar on Thursday.
Awards were given in 16 categoriesand the decisions were made by the jury chaired by Zdenko Klepić, with members Almir Popa, Feđa Ibrulj, Marin Suton, Mirjana Bošnjak and Dženan Šuta, while the secretary of the jury was Fatima Rahimić.
She was declared the most successful senior athlete Lana Powder from the Orka Water Sports Club, and her brother accepted the award on her behalf Nemanja Pudar.
In 2025, she won second place at the European Championship for U23 seniors in the 200-meter breaststroke and fifth place in the 100-meter breaststroke, and was also declared the best athlete of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the selection of the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in the selection of Nezavisni novini and BHRT, announced the Sports Association of the City of Mostar.
The most successful athlete is a senior Senaid Veladzic from the University Karate Club Student, who won first place at the State Championship of Bosnia and Herzegovina in katas and seventh place at the European Championship for seniors in Yerevan.
Successes in younger categories
In the younger categories, the most successful junior cadet is Leona Čuljak from Judo Club Borsa, with second place at the Balkan Championship in Budva and at the BiH National Championship, while the most successful junior cadet Emin Lizde from the School of Athletics Mostar, with outstanding results at the BiH indoor championships in the disciplines of 60 meters and long jump.
She was declared the most successful female cadet Merjem Champar from the Orka Water Sports Club, and is the most successful cadet Ante Šunjić from the Croatian Sports Club Zrinjski.
The most successful female youth team is the junior cadets of the Croatian Women’s Handball Club Zrinjski, who won second place at the BiH State Championship, while the most successful male youth team is the junior selection of the Croatian Sports Club Zrinjski.
In the junior competition, she is the most successful junior Johanna Elisabeth Klinger from Judo Club Borsa, with first place at the Asian Cup in Amman and seventh place at the World Championship in Lima, while the most successful junior Rino Vrljicalso from Judo Club Borsa, with second places won at the Asian Cup in Amman and the European Cup in Podgorica.
Special recognitions and life’s work
Special awards were given Senad RamadanovićAssociation Zdrav život – Kinezis, Judo Club Borsa, Josip Marić, Mario Peharto the Table Tennis Club Mostar, Feđa Klarić, Elma Škaljić, Davor Beljato the Croatian football club Kruševo i Noah Saric.
The most successful sports worker in 2025 is Denis Lasicpresident of the Croatian Sports Club Zrinjski, while he is the most successful coach Damir Đedović from the Orka Water Sports Club. The Lifetime Achievement Award was awarded posthumously Mevlidi Grebović – Turudić (1957 – 2025), a prominent handball player and coach, and the award was given to her grandson Eddie Champara.
The most successful women’s senior team is Women’s football club Eminawhile the most successful men’s senior team is Croatian Sports Club Zrinjski, whose recognition was taken by the captain Nemanja Bilbi.
