According to the AP, the missing files were available on Friday but could no longer be accessed on Saturday. Among them were photocopies of photographs of naked women, as well as one photograph showing a series of photographs arranged on a chest of drawers and in drawers.
In that image, which was originally marked as file 468, in one of the drawers, among other photos, was a photo of Donald Trump together with Jeffrey Epstein, Melania Trump and Epstein’s longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
The Department of Justice has not explained why the files were removed or confirmed whether their removal was intentional, and the public received no advance notice of the content being pulled.

Thousands of additional documents are expected to be published in the coming days. Democrats criticize the level of redactions, claiming that this violates the law on transparency, while the Ministry of Justice says that it “preferred to reach out to the redactions to protect the victims.”

The published documents do not yet shed new light on Epstein’s network, but they increase political pressure on the administration of US President Donald Trump because of the way he is handling the whole process.
