The program, which is realized in cooperation with the Sports Federation, faculty for physical education and sports, and with the support of the mayor, aims to raise the professional level of all who work with children and adults in different sports.
– We realized that the coaches, in addition to experience, needs an additional expert basis. That is why we introduce education through which all coaches will pass, regardless of sport. The module will include pedagogy, psychology and the methodology of work – points out Malkočević, emphasizing that these areas are key to quality work with young people.
The program will last about six months, and all participants must attend at least 70 percent of teaching to get a certificate.

– We already have a large number of registered trainers and we are proud to announce the start of education on 8. September. Our goal is continuity – immediately after the first we plan and another module – adds Malkočević.
One of the important goals of this initiative is the return of all sports clubs under the auspices of the Tuzla Sports Association. About 50 clubs are currently registered, while the data show that more than 130 operate in the city.
– We want a precise picture of how much professional athletes and amateur, so that we can better plan the development of sports and solving problems at the local level – explains Malkočević.
A special segment of the program will be education from the provision of first aid in cooperation with the Red Cross.
– In this way, coaches will, in addition to professional knowledge of sports, acquire and skills key for the safety of children and athletes – says Malkočević.
As an initiator of this program, Malakočević concludes that the goal is to set the foundations of permanent improvement of sports work in Tuzla.
– If necessary, we will continue with additional modules and cooperation with experts. We want our trainers to be superbly educated, and our children have the best possible conditions for training – said Malkočević.
