Muslim Charitable Society Merhamet launched this year’s campaign to collect payments for sacrifices, which includes several options – sacrifices from Mecca, Australia, but also the domestic “Bosnian sacrifice”.
As it was announced, the campaign for the payment of sacrifices from Mecca and Australia lasts until May 26, 2026, and the price is 350 KM. The slaughter of the Qurban is performed in accordance with Islamic regulations, and the meat is intended for vulnerable Muslim populations in crisis areas around the world.
Citizens who want to participate in this humanitarian action can make payments at the Merhamet office in Maglaj, near the Police Station, every weekday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At the same time, payment for the “Bosnian Sacrifice” began, which lasts until May 28, 2026. This action involves the procurement of sacrifices from local agricultural producers and returnees, which further supports local production.
Citizens can choose a cow or a sheep for their home sacrifice, with the option of taking a third of the meat, as well as attending the act of slaughter itself. The price of this type of sacrifice is 600 KM.
