Zdravko Mamić, the former first man of Dinamo Zagreb and a fugitive from Croatian justice, was recently seen in the company of some of the most prominent faces of Croatian football, which fueled speculation about the motive of the meeting.
According to information Free DalmatiaMić se in the restaurant “Udovice” between Čitluk and Mostar, he met with former associates, among them the general secretary of the HNS Tomislav Svetinapresident of Lokomotiva Bozidar Šikić and Neven Spreitzer, who held the position of president of the HNS Competition Commission.
Svetina came to Dinamo in 2012 as a member of the board, taking over the management of the club after the arrest of Zdravko and Zoran Mamić in the anti-corruption action of USKOK.
In HNS, Svetina was vice-president in the term 2017-2021, president of the Commission for Regulations, and in 2021 he was appointed executive director, and from 2024, general secretary of the Association.
After the arrival of Zvonimir Boban in Dinamo, there was a conflict with the new administration, which she didn’t want people connected to the former Mamić gang. Despite Dinamo’s initiative and the support of Rudeš and Kustošija for his removal, Svetina retained his mandate at the ZNS election assembly thanks to the support of the majority of Zagreb clubs present at the assembly.
Neven Šprajcer, former deputy general secretary and head of competitions of the Croatian Football Association, left his post this summer at his own request. His place was taken by Josip Tomaško, while HNS president Marijan Kustić thanked Šprajcer for his dedicated work.
The sprayer has been included in the past in the “fair trial” affair, for which the Supreme Court upheld his suspended sentence in 2017, while other officials received prison sentences at the time. His career was additionally burdened by accusations from 2014 related to NK Karlovac, but despite this, he was re-elected as the president of the Karlovac County Football Association.
Božidar Šikić, president of NK Lokomotive and member of the executive board of HNS, is a long-time friend of Zdravko Mamić, with whom he has collaborated in business since 1999, when Mamić founded his agency for player management. Šikić testified in several court proceedings against Mamić about the agency’s operations and player transfers.
According to his statements, at the beginning he received smaller sums of money for mediating transfers, while after larger transfers the payments were significantly higher, in the range of 100 to 200 thousand euros, and Mamić mostly handed over the money in cash. Šikić also stated that his cooperation with Mamić was terminated after Lokomotiva entered the First League, and that he did not participate in player transfers sold by Dinamo, but exclusively in transfers from Lokomotiva.
Despite criticism and suspicions that Lokomotiva is Dinamo’s “branch”, Šikić is rejected allegations of match-fixing or transfer manipulation, writes the aforementioned Croatian media.
