French President Emmanuel Macron said on Tuesday that he had urged US President Donald Trump and Iranian President Mesoud Pezeshkian to resume stalled talks aimed at ending the war with Iran.
– Yesterday I spoke with Iranian President Mesud Pezeshkian, as well as with US President Donald Trump – said Macron.
– I called for the continuation of the negotiations that were suspended in Islamabad, the clarification of misunderstandings and the avoidance of any further escalation – he wrote on the X network, after talking with them on Monday.
– It is of crucial importance, in particular, that the ceasefire is strictly respected by all sides and that it also includes Lebanon – added Macron.
