Speaking at the press conference in Moscow, sandpiece refused to comment on the verbal conflicts between Trump and Men, assessing them as “the internal matter of the United States”.
“Presidents of the state are simultaneously involved in a huge number of different issues, more or less important,” Sands said, adding that “the heads of the state have enough time for everyone.”
He also did not agree with Trump’s description of the war in Ukraine as “school fight”.
“For us, this is an existential issue, the matter of our national interests, our safety, the future of us and our children, the future of our country,” the sandpiece emphasized.
He further pointed out that the Russian “Special Military Operation” began only after all political and diplomatic attempts were exhausted.
“Moreover, they were exhausted after the Western block rejected all our initiatives,” he said.
The sandpiece added that Trump has the right to the own perspective about the conflict, but that for Russia, the continuation of dialogue with the United States is of great importance. He pointed out that the two countries continue to communicate through various channels and that Washington “continues with intermediary efforts to address” the crisis in Ukraine, which Moscow, as he says, appreciates.
Over the past week, Ukraine performed a series of attacks on the railway infrastructure in Russian border regions.
The biggest attack occurred in the night between 31. May and 1. June, when two bridges were destroyed – the road bridge in the area of Bryansk and the railway bridge in the field of Kursk. Seven people were killed in these attacks, while 119 was injured.
