The Zrinjski bench took over an experienced expert Igor Štimac, and Ivanković said goodbye to the team.
Ivankovic sent a farewell message on the occasion, emphasizing how much he meant him the opportunity to lead the club for deep emotions.
– After the beautiful chapter in my life, it was time to say goodbye to the Zrinjs bench. It is difficult to summarize all emotions that overwhelm me, but I feel the need to thank everyone from the bottom of my heart. Of course, I want to thank the club’s management in the point of view and opportunity to be the main club coach, because it was not a job for me, but above all honor, responsibility and love. Great thanks to my collaborators and players with whom I shared joy with victory and disappointment because of the defeat, all fans who have experienced all the good and bad. Thank you the greatest best fans in the world – our ultrases, who have always been with us and pushed us forward. I am leaving peaceful conscience, proud of what we have achieved and with a heart that stays to knock for Zrinjski. Forever! – He said Ivankovic.
