The Administration for Indirect Taxation (ITA BiH) has announced how much money the Federation of BiH, Republika Srpska and Brčko District will receive through distribution.
Revenues from indirect taxes in 2025 amounted to 12 billion and 177 million KM and are higher by 633 million KM or 5.51 percent compared to the same period in 2024 when they amounted to 11 billion and 541 million KM.
The Directorate for Indirect Taxation has collected the largest amount of indirect taxes since the establishment of the institution.
In 2025, there was no increase in indirect tax rates, but revenue growth was conditioned partly by inflationary trends and partly by activities undertaken by the ITA.
After collecting revenues from indirect taxes, the ITA first returns VAT to taxpayers who have exercised their legal right to a refund, and on that basis, the Administration returned two billion and 202 million KM to the economy in 2025. The rest of the collected income was distributed to beneficiaries.
Thus, the net collected revenues that were distributed to users in the period January-December 2025, namely the state, entities and Brčko District, amounted to nine billion and 974 million KM and are higher by 525 million KM compared to the revenues that users received from the Single Account for the same period in 2024.
An amount of one billion and 20 million KM has been allocated for the financing of state institutions in 2025. A total of five billion and 510 million KM was allocated to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, three billion and 86 million KM to the Republic of Srpska and 310 million KM to the Brčko District.
Based on the special toll for the construction of highways and the construction and reconstruction of other roads (0.25 KM), the Federation of BiH received an additional 249 million KM, the Republika Srpska 165 million KM and the Brčko District eight million KM. The difference represents a reserve in a separate account for tolls in the amount of 0.25 KM, the Indirect Tax Administration announced. Focus.
