Ismail Barlov, our “butterfly without wings”, as we proudly call him, once again showed that the borders exist only in mind.
In the competition of much more experienced and older paraplators, this young hero from Sarajevo last month has won medals in international parapling series in Lignan and Barcelona, confirming his extra-existing talent, but also the power of the ghost inspiration.
On the eve of the Youth Paralympic Games, which will be held in July this year in Istanbul, Ismail was a guest of the Minister of Culture and Sports Canton Sarajevo Kenan Kenan Magode.
On this occasion, a contract on the continuation of financial support for Ismail sports activities was signed.
“Ismail is not just athletes. He is a symbol of hope and incredible will. His smile and determination are inspired by all of us to be better people. I can be part of his journey and success,” said Magod Minister.
Swimming is part of Ismail’s life, and behind it are years of hard training, numerous competitions and many medals conquered. But as I say, his biggest dream was that one day he represents his country on the biggest sports stage.
Today, that dream lives, not only for yourself, but for all those who fight every day to be recognized.
And while preparing for the paralympic games for young people, Ismail is already looking at the next challenge, the World Cup to be held in Singapore.
