According to the latest data from the Federation of the Federation of BiH, the implementation of a non-working week has not led to the fall of trade in trade, and not to mass release of workers, as certain sources were alleged in the Federal Ministry of Trade.
According to official data, the mentioned Ministry states that the total fiscal market in the FBiH retail sector was in the period from 17. November 2024. year, as a year later, the amount increased by KM 3.81 billion, which is a growth of KM 67.2 million.
Federal Trade Minister Amir Hasicevic emphasized that the FBiH Tax Administration data are precise, and that all traffic analyzes were made on the basis of fiscal accounts and records of each business entity.
Manipulation of data in Travnik
The commenting claims that due to non-working Sunday in Travnik, a decline in 10 million KM and the loss of 782 jobs, Hasicevic said that these data were incorrect.
According to Hasicevic, they show that in the same period, total turnover in Travnik has been reduced by only 189,000 KM, that the number of employees have been reduced by 32 workers, of which 17 workers have lost firms that operate in catering and service activities.
“The data is clear – there are no drastic losses”
Minister Hasicevic points out that allegations of great negative effects of non-working Sunday are unfounded.
– In the presentation of incorrect data in recent days, there are also malfunctions and ignorance. I will not enter the motives, but I want to underline that the data confirms that there was no fall of traffic or a drastic release of workers in the store. On the other hand, we had wide public support that the workers in trade needed that day of rest, because it is the day that neither school nor numerous other institutions work. Social sensitivity and worker satisfaction are more important than profit, and now we have individuals who manipulate data and advocate the return to the old, Hasicevic said.
Establishment of the Trade Tips
The Minister reminded that the establishment of the Trade Council was provided by the Law on Internal Trade, in which employers, trade union, consumers, the Ministry and Inspection Services, writes Focus.
The first meeting of this body is planned for the next week, and the Council will analyze the data, initiatives and proposals for improving trade in FBiH.
“The essence of the law is the social justice and the fight against the labor market irregularities. This government wants to know that they are not alone and have institutional support in achieving its rights,” Hasicevic Minister has concluded.
