Speaking at the press conference in Istanbul, Arakci said, “I’m going to Moscow in the afternoon, and I have a meeting with President Putin tomorrow morning.”
He added that Iran and Russia were long-term partners, describing Moscow as a “friend of Iran” with which they regularly consult.
In the continuation of the Arakča Conference, he said that during the negotiations, he never believed in Western countries, and that there are still more reasons for distrust.
“We need to trust the west now,” he said.
He called all the actors to “wait for the Iran’s answer” before they re-try to start a diplomatic process.
When asked about communication with the United States, Arakci confirmed that before the attack maintained indirect negotiations with the main Trump Negotiator Steve Witkoff.
“When the talks were interrupted because of American aggression, we continued to receive messages from Americans through different channels, especially through Oman,” he said.
Oman has been working as a mediator between Washington and Tehran for years, especially in moments of reinforced tension.
Arakci announced further diplomatic activities after the meeting in Moscow.
