Iran sent Pakistan a response to the American proposal to end the war

– The response of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the latest American proposal to end the war was sent today to the Pakistani mediator, the agency announced, reports Anadolia.

– At this stage, the negotiations will focus on ending the war in the region as planned, it said, without providing details on the content of Iran’s response.

Regional tensions have escalated since the US and Israel launched attacks on Iran on February 28, prompting Tehran to retaliate against Israel as well as US allies in the Gulf, closing the Strait of Hormuz.

A Pakistani-brokered ceasefire came into effect on April 8, but talks in Islamabad failed to produce a lasting agreement.

The truce was later extended indefinitely by US President Donald Trump, giving way to diplomacy for a permanent solution to the war.
