January electricity bills in a large number of economic entities in the Federation of BiH are higher in several thousand marks than the previous ones
Economic entities in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina face new problems. January electricity bills are drastically larger than those of December. In the accounts of several economic entities we have had an insight itself, it is evident that the lower electricity tariff was calculated in December at a price of 0.048,000 per kWh, while the January account was 0.1299100 per kWh.
When it comes to the higher tariff, in December accounts, it was calculated at a price of 0.096000 per kWh, and in January at a price of 0.236600 per kWh. The bills are higher in several thousand km.
From the Association of Employers of the Federation of BiH, it was said that the increase in the effect of the adoption of the Law on Electricity. It was explained that one significant number of smaller economic entities crossed the universal supply to market. Given that the market price grew by the fourth year 20 percent, while at the universal supply, it is not a significant number of economic entities a jump of electricity prices in January is really huge.
A meeting is possible
Employers’ Association earlier from the FBiH government and PEO Electric Power Industry, for 20 percent to maintain the entities that have about 200 percent higher the price of electricity and in order to reduce the impact they experienced. But the FBiH government refused. From the Association, they invited economic entities to answer to them, and that he would try to see if it may be some mistakes in the system and how to overcome the problem.
The official data that received from Elektroprivreda is that the price increase is on average for some thirty percent. But as they explain, it is about the average and that does not mean that there are no economic entities that faced drastically higher pregnancies. Mario Nenadić, director of the UPFBiH, said that in the next week, he would try to organize a meeting with the leadership of Elektroprivreda BiH.
Prof. dr. Aziz Suna from the Faculty of Economics, University of Sarajevo, explains that electricity is in more or less business inputs, so the increase in the cost of electricity is transferred to sales prices. He points out that the price of electricity is generally in this area, compared to world prices, relatively low, but that the state should have found a way to help businessmen.
He believes that this also shows how badly is the electrician. He emphasizes that we are essentially different electricity, but that there is no additional increase in stable sources, because they are in principle sources of thermal power plants, hydroelectric power plants and wind farms, and the sun. In the renewable energy sources, it should certainly be invested, and our interlocutor believes that they are still reliable. The state in the Electricity, considers, is reflection of the poor management of all state-owned enterprises.
– We missed a chance with Block 7 and for it, unfortunately, no one answered. Great funds have been spent, and we didn’t get anything. It is a complex problem and I fear that in the foreseeable future, although we were exporters of electricity, we do not become importers, because we increasingly import electricity that is very expensive in the world market, prof. dr. Sun and emphasizes that at the state level, there should be a clear energy strategy and work on increasing electricity production.
He points out that state-owned enterprises are guided by political eligible people, questionably competent.
– Simply, they are not successful enough, and they are not successful because they are poorly guided, because they are under the political control of the party that do not have consciousness that these companies should run professional managers, says prof. dr. Sun.
Damir Miljević, economist and energy transition expert, says the economy in the FBiH is located on the so-called Market supply, so do not surprise that electricity bills have risen. Stresses and that state electricity are not the only suppliers.
Problems are piling up
– The fact is that domestic electricity is more worse, that their costs are increasing, that exports of electricity is getting smaller and to accumulate problems such as coal deficiency, party employment and irrational business have not been resolved for years. All electricity electricity electricity are trying to transfer to domestic customers, justifying electricity prices in markets outside BiH, which cannot be a repeater for justifying the situation in BiH. The electricity sector, says Miljević.
He adds that in such a situation, the economy remains nothing but to turn to an increase in energy efficiency and through reducing energy consumption compensates for constant prices or to embark on electricity production.
The second possible solution is, it points out our interlocutor, that the economy is organized by the governments managed by electricity, that public electricity is finally restructuring, reduce costs, and thus ensure price stability in the long run. He believes that he is that the EPBiH ended last year and that nothing significant happens, which would change the behavior and business, realistically expecting the increase in electricity and citizens in the FBiH, writes Liberation.
