Hoteliers with optimism are announcing the record season, by the number of guests, but also in the realized income.
– We have hoteliers already formed season. With the preparations of the season and with the sale of accommodation capacities, we begin for a year in advance. We already know how the season will look. The pre-season was excellent and record an increase in the number and arrivals and overnight over the last year. Sucks herself should be good. Announcements for September and October are excellent and hotels are mostly filled as for the period of the new year. We can already say that the season will be extremely successful. We hope that they will physically work well – says Davor Krešić, Vice President of the Hotel Neum Hotel.
As it adds, the new Neum Tourist Board has been established and it is on them to establish a realistic register of private landlords and the number of beds.
– We have hoteliers all precisely defined, and bearing numbers and reporting guests. Neum had 310,000 reported overnight stays, Mostar and Citluk for 150,000, and Konjic 16,000. I think we will have to reach in the next season to import workforce from distant markets and appeal to the state to increase quotas and facilitate the complete process, which lasts from six to nine months. The problem is big and all the bastards have it. The state should facilitate employers to fix the papers for the side of the workforce – Krešić points out.
