The highest club body should provide answers to key questions about the future and survival of the club, after serious institutional upheavals occurred in the past period.
The Blues found themselves in a kind of legal crisis after the competent ministry refused to register the proposed amendments to the Statute of FK Željezničar. This administrative blockade directly threatened and complicated the partnership relationship with the American businessman Sanin Mirvić, who at the beginning of the year officially took over the care of the club and initiated stabilization processes.
The crisis at Grbavica was further deepened by the recent departure of the head of the professional staff, Sava Milošević. After he left the bench, there were loud speculations in football circles that Mirvić himself would follow in his footsteps, which would mean the complete collapse of the started project.
However, according to the latest information coming from sources close to the club, the American partner of BiH. roots will remain in Grbavica and continue with investments. According to still unofficial information, Mirvić should become the president of the Board of Directors.
Tonight’s session of the Assembly will be an opportunity to find a legal compromise with the competent institutions, remove the perceived deficiencies in the Statute and provide the investor with clean papers for further work.
