The British royal family rarely speaks publicly about Prince Andrew and his ties to Epstein, but a neighbor now claims the color of his new front door sends a clear signal that it’s coming from King Charles.
After the Jeffrey Epstein scandal, Prince Andrew lost his titles and had to move. Since the beginning of April, he has been living in a small farm on the family property. The building was previously vacant and renovated before his arrival.
However, the public’s attention was also attracted by the color of his new front door – light blue. Although it seems innocuous, in the royal family that color supposedly has a symbolic meaning and has been associated with the status of tenants for years.
A neighbor told UK outlet GB News: “Andrew’s door is the same as the staff door at Sandringham – it shows how far he has fallen. Now he is just like any other tenant.”
He added that the color reminds him of his position every day, and that as a tenant he has no possibility to change it.
The Sandringham Estate is said to have hundreds of properties controlled by the king, including staff houses and holiday cottages, many of which feature blue doors.
This tradition, according to reports, dates back to the Queen Mother, who used blue as a marker for official or rented facilities.
Neighbors claim that this visual detail symbolically shows the change in status of the former prince.
Andrew lost almost all public duties and privileges after the scandal. Last year, King Charles stripped him of his remaining titles, including that of Duke of York.
As part of the reorganization, he left his home in Windsor, where he had previously paid only nominal rent, and moved into a smaller house on the estate.
His ex-wife Sarah Ferguson is also still under the shadow of the affair, while their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, are reportedly struggling to cope with media pressure.
