The Handball Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina is facing a crisis that threatens a total collapse.
Nedim Arnautović, Secretary General of the Alliance, confirmed today that the office is temporarily closed.
In the coming period, employees will perform work from home because their working conditions almost completely disappeared, given that they did not receive salaries or exercise a work experience.
“Although they cannot pay their salaries, we will continue to work, but I would make it a decision that workers will not be obliged to come to the office and spend money,” Arnautović said, in case of emergency, employees would be invited to the workplace.
According to the Information Exhibited by the Secretary-General, the Handball Association of BiH has recently undergone the executor’s attack on the verdict of the Supreme Court, which ordered the seizure of property due to the debt to the Health Center Banja Luka.
In addition, the Alliance could remain without accessing a key system for licensing clubs for domestic and European competitions, because they are unable to settle debts.
Arnautović pointed out that it must take care that at least maintain an internet connection, because it is the only way to communicate with the outside world. In addition, the BH Telecom Commission has not met the obligations in the preparation of sponsorship contracts, which further worsens the financial situation of the Alliance.
“We have funds for the March actions with the national team, but I am not sure we will be able to function further. Unfortunately, employees may be forced to seek the alternative sources of income because they currently have no security,” Arnautović concluded.
