The Palestinian military-political group Hamas called on Iran to avoid attacks on neighboring countries after the escalation of the conflict that began with airstrikes by Israel and the United States of America on Iran.
“Confirming the right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to respond to this aggression with all available means in accordance with international norms and laws, the movement calls on its brothers in Iran to avoid attacks on neighboring countries,” Hamas said, according to agencies.
This organization has previously condemned the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day of the war, calling it a “heinous crime”.
Hamas then stated that Khamenei provided political, diplomatic and military support to the Palestinian people and the resistance movement.
Israel and the United States carried out the first air strikes on Iran on February 28 this year, after which Iran retaliated with attacks on American military bases in the region.
According to reports, on that occasion, Iranian missiles and drones entered the airspace of more than ten countries in the region.
