Representatives of Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy and Poland reaffirmed their political and military assistance in Ukraine.
Members of the NATO have gathered via video link in the format of the defensive cooperation between the Group five leading defense forces of Europe.
“Everyone agrees that (Ukraine) can rely on the Group’s continuous and extensive support,” the German Ministry said in a statement after the meeting.
The meeting was convened in a short time after a fierce debate between the US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenia in the White House last week.
The quarrel encouraged fears that Washington could withdraw his key support to Kiev, as America and Russia refers to improving.
The next meeting of the group of five defense forces is scheduled for 12. March in Paris. The goal of the group is to strengthen European security and defense readiness.
