An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale hit the Greek island of Crete today, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) announced.
According to available data, the epicenter of the earthquake was located in an area with geographic coordinates of latitude 35.1135 and longitude 23.8647 not far from the southern coast of the island.
The hypocenter of the earthquake, according to the data of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, is located at a depth of approximately five kilometers below the earth’s surface.
So far, there are no reports of injuries or possible material damage.
