The first enrollment period in high schools in BiH is completed, and in front of students and parents are another deadline. What are students most often choose, which are the trends in the enrollment and the young deficit occupations are, were some of the issues in the show “Novi Day”, in which Namir Ibrahimović, program manager for the Educational Initiatives Step by Step.
Ibrahimović pointed out that the grades in schools were brought to the absurdity, because there are no clear criteria on the basis of which the grades would be granted. Teachers often have the right to give rates without explanation, while parents have unrealistic expectations and do not receive a real picture of their children’s knowledge.
“It is difficult to explain why someone has a troike, and someone,” Ibrahimovic said, emphasizing that the liability was transferred only to teachers, while parents expect good assessments regardless of realistic knowledge.
Speaking about the perception of high school as a prestigious school, Ibrahimović believes that serious education planning should clearly define their vision and to raise the quality of education. He also pointed out an important problem:
“Students see when teachers are not satisfied with their job, and the bad attitude towards students will further collapse the quality of teaching. We face growing problems from generation, but we have no solutions for BiH. Society,” he warned.
Ibrahimovic also emphasized that the entrance exam is better than external graduation, because external exams currently be reduced to collecting additional points for selection, and not on the actual assessment of school education.
“If external exams served as an analysis within the primary school and used to plan changes, it would make sense. The way the external graduation is carried out now – we do not have a serious report that shows what the knowledge of the student talks about the basic education,” he said.

He also warned that external exams to students bring only stress about half points, but also that the entrance exam creates equal tension.
