Two Norwegians placed behind him – Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen won silver, overtaking compatriot Sturla Holm Laegreid in the finish, who finished the race with bronze, his second medal of the same glory at these Games.

With this triumph, France reached its fourth gold at this year’s Olympic Games and a total of ten medals, while Norway is the leader in the ranking with 18 medals won, among which eight are gold.
