Germany has requested companies to block Deepseek because it violates EU data protection rules.
The German Data Protection Agency announced that Deepseek app illegally sends user data to China and asked Google and Apple to consider blocking the AI service, PC Press.
The data protection commissioner indicate that the transfer of German users from Deepseek to China represents an illegal procedure.
The Chinese company Deepseek has caused the wave this year when it launched its artificial intelligence model for which it claims was created at a significantly lower price. However, that is what it seems to be not saved when it comes to the EU.
