“X has fallen into chaos in recent years. That’s why, across party lines, we have decided not to upload content on the X platform anymore,” it was announced through the joint hashtag “We are leaving X”, reports HINA.
The deactivation of the channels refers both to the official channels of the parties themselves and their provincial and local branches, as well as to the channels of the leading members of the parties.
“Political debates live on exchanges that reach people and thus inform them. X is increasingly supporting disinformation,” reads the reasoning of the parliamentary parties that stand to the left of the political center.
All three parties recommend to their supporters and members to withdraw from platform X. For discussions in the future, as announced, the parties strongly want to use platforms like Bluesky.
This decision is connected with the change in the policy of platform X, which was taken over in October 2022 by the billionaire and political activist Elon Musk, who actively supports the politics of Donald Trump.
