The College of Applied and Legal Sciences “Promethej” from Banja Luka has changed its legal form, so in the future it will not operate as an institution but as a limited liability company, i.e. a company.
The re-registration was recently completed in the District Commercial Court in Banja Luka, after which Velimir and Velibor Ilić were registered as founders with equal shares of 50 percent each and participation in the capital of 1,000 KM each.
Higher education is listed as the main activity, and in domestic traffic they can also deal with newspaper printing, book publishing, public opinion polls, research, and the like.

According to the indictment, “Prometheus” students were allowed to take written exams at home, without the supervision of professors, and deliver the answers by mail.
The professors delivered them finished seminar papers, and they also rewrote the answers to the questions in the written exams.
Ilić “fell” in a major cluster operation in which rectors, faculty professors and their intermediaries were arrested in the area of Banja Luka, Mostar and Brčko, for trading forged diplomas.
The action lasted a year and a half, and the indictment was brought in September last year.
21 natural and legal persons were accused, and the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina collected over 3,000 pieces of evidence in this case.
According to the indictment, diplomas were purchased at a price of 3,500 KM to 10,000 KM and depended on the “length of study”, which varied from two to three months to as much as nine months.
In 2024, “Prometheus” was rejected for accreditation by the Agency for Higher Education of the RS, with which they effectively lost the right to work.
Inspectorate of Bosnia and Herzegovina of the RS entity canceled dozens of their diplomas, it says Radio Sarajevo.
