The Government of the Republika Srpska adopted today a set of amendments to the law, which provide for a five percent increase in the salaries of budget users as of April 1.
The Minister of Finance of Republika Srpska Zora Vidović said at the press conference after the Government session that 68,350,000 KM is necessary for this increase in the budget.
How much money will be allocated
She stated that 4,700,000 KM will be allocated for the increase of salaries in higher education, 21,350,000 KM should be provided for primary and secondary education, culture and student standards.
When it comes to the judiciary, this increase does not include judges and prosecutors, whose salaries have already been increased since January 1, but only the personnel working in the judiciary, and for that, 4,230,000 KM is needed.
When it comes to administrative bodies, an increase of five percent is foreseen and for this, 7,000,000 KM is needed, public services 4,500,000 KM.
Salary increase in healthcare
For health care, which is not a budget beneficiary, a five percent salary increase is planned and 23,200,000 KM is needed for that.
“Analyzing the income and the ability of health to present this increase, we came to the conclusion that it is not possible, so the budget takes it upon itself,” said Vidović.
She mentioned that from August, an allowance will be defined in the healthcare system, which will be paid to medical workers every month.
“We have defined this by the end of the year, and how the situation will move forward depends on income, the state of the economy, economic indicators, influence in the Middle East. We will monitor everything and correct certain things accordingly,” Vidović said, writes Focus.
