France is planning to host a second meeting in which Ukraine and European security on Wednesday, but this time they called on European countries that were not present in this week and NATO alliance to Canada, diplomatic sources.
Two sources said Norway, Canada, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Czech Republic, Greece, Finland, Romania, Sweden, and Belgium, and the video participation is also possible.
French President Emmanuel Macron was hosting an emergency meeting with countries, including the United Kingdom, Germany and Italy, as well as the NATO EU’s executive authorities.
It was a part of the effort to be assessed to look like potential security guarantees for Ukraine, so that Europe should act faster to increase the defense consumption and how the U.S. administration accelerates diplomacy to end the three-year war between Ukraine and Russia.
Some countries were not satisfied that the meeting was only for selected leaders, not the entire EU summit, union officials said.
The Jelice Palace did not immediately answer the comment request, Reuters reports.
