Extension of the measure in FBiH shows that without state control, citizens are difficult to support cost growth
The extension of the decision on freezing the prices of basic products in the Federation of BiH by the end of the year is at first glance to facilitate citizens.
In the time when the cost of living expenses daily pressure from households, especially those with low revenues, such a measure seems to be necessary. However, the key question is set – is that what citizens really deserve?
Because, if he has to resort to artificial “locking” prices of bread, oil or milk, it means that salary and pensions that citizens receive are not sufficient for normal life. Behind these measures hid the defeat of government, which instead of providing a stable and dignified standard of living, they resort to short-term tricks to prevent social fractures.
Price freezing is not a long-term solution. Citizens have the right to live normally from their work and their receipts, pay the bills, buy basic foods without fear of price increase and not to feel that their existence is constantly compromised.
In this sense, such measures look like a kind of humiliation – instead of a systemic solution through the increase in salaries, the tax and relief of the economy, is offered temporarily soothing. Politicians send a message that citizens should be happy to pay less cheaper basic products for at least some time, instead of making their best to enable their life worth 21. century, writes Noise.
Ordinary people with the right asks: Did we really deserve the life in which we fight for each brand and wait for the decisions of the authorities to “ease” the purchase of bread? Or do we deserve a better standard, higher salary and security that does not depend on political decisions, but of a just system?
