The central ceremony on the occasion of the beginning of the new school year for Zenica-Doboj Canton was held in the Elementary School “Hamdija Kreševljaković” in Kakanj.
Welcome to the Champions Welcome Prime Minister Nezir Pivić and Minister of Education, Science, Culture and the Mayor of the Federal Trade Unions of BiH and the Independent Foreign Education and Education, share free textbooks and school supplies.
Elementary school “Hamdija Kreševljaković” is the largest primary school in Kakanj, and is attended by about 1,050 students, including 120 champions.
Prime Minister Pivic emphasized that the government is focused on the creation of as well as better conditions in schools, and expressed satisfaction that the second year in a row has managed to provide funds for the purchase of free textbooks for all students of the Canton’s primary school.
– We will try to not break this practice and that all students from 1. to 9. Grade have free textbooks. It is our contribution and assistance to parents to easier to submit the beginning of the new school year. All we do, we are working ultimately for our children. Thus, we do so home and so we need to work on responsible functions, working for our future, and these children are our future – said Prime Minister Pivić.
He praised the social dialogue with the union, noting that the salary of educators for less than two years increased twice and that the last collective agreement was covered by a number of new rights and supplements.
Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Mirza Mushi emphasized that investing in schools is one of the most important tasks of this ministry and that in the school infrastructure in the canton of the past two and 6 million KM, as well as additional funds provided by foreign donors and partners.
– In the reconstruction of the sports polygon of this school, we invested 250,000 KM, and we plan additional investment next year. This is one of the 100 schools in the cantonal area where we want to create the best conditions for teaching and stay of students, teachers and staff, “Mušija Minister said.
According to the Department of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, 3,266 students are enrolled in the first grade of the primary school, which is under the previous year, while a total of 3,062 students were enrolled in the first year of the students in the previous school year.
“Positive balance” in primary schools compared to last year have Birch, Kakanj, Olovo, Usor and Zenica.
